It all started so well. Donning our wigs and manning our stand at the recent Saltash Regatta we met a lot of great people from our area. The turnout was really good for this wonderful weekend of activities and we had even managed to blag an entry into the rowing race. Setting off in a heat of three boats we managed about 4 lengths before we collided with another boat. As we hadn’t planned for this particular emergency we all leapt across to the same side of the boat and it tipped over – quite slowly at first but we couldn’t stop it! Anyway we were rescued and brought back to land, all smiles but no change of clothes! There’s always next year…..
