QuickStore Torquay undergoes full reception refit

24-hour-accessQuickStore Torquay’s old reception area has been in disarray for a little over 3 weeks now as it’s been being refurbished. The team were excited to hear that thanks to continued growth for the store, the old reception was being converted into more storage space!

The whole reception area will be available with 24-hour access to customers as it’s proving to be a very popular feature! It took 3 weeks to prepare the area, thanks to a large number of internal walls, however now the area will have many units ranging from 25 to 60 square feet. Amazingly the steel work only took 2 days to complete!

The new reception area will be a modern, open space that we’re very much looking forward to showing off to our existing and new customers.

QuickStore Plymouth help local school with an unexpected delivery

QuickStore Plqs-plym-unloading-palletsymouth came to the rescue of a local school recently when they had a delivery of 12 pallets, when they were only anticipating 3! The school were at a total loss of where to store these huge items!
Luckily our team at QuickStore Plymouth stepped in with forklifts and our pallet storage, storing 10 of the pallets at fantastic rate! The school saw us unloading the lorry with the forklift and whisking the pallets off for secure storage in our 24-hour CCTV monitored facilities.
The school commented that they were extremely grateful for the quick, efficient, and prompt service that they received and we’re glad they chose to come to us!

Calais Refugee Solidarity give thanks to QuickStore

calais-refugee-donationsThe refugee crisis across Europe has thousands of people vying for the government to support and accept as many refugees as is possible. Action group Calais Refugee Solidarity have been working tirelessly to organise aid for the refugee camp in Calais which has included collecting clothing items that can be distributed in the camp.

Calais Refugee Solidarity collected a vast amount of donations to the cause and were storing them all in a spare bedroom in Torbay! We stepped in to help and provided a free storage unit where the group could hold their donations before they took the trip to the camp.

On Saturday 10th October kind volunteers brought along their cars and helped the team move their donations from the spare bedroom to one of our QuickStore units and the job was finished in no time!

We’re so glad that we could help with this worthy cause and we look forward to hearing all about the trip! You can read more about the donations here, or you can find out how to help!

Quickstore attends the SSA UK and FEDESSA conference in Amsterdam

Quickstore Directors, Nick Wood and Andrew Patrick, attended the Self Storage Association UK (SSA UK) and Federation of European Self Storage Associations (FEDESSA) conference and trade show in Amsterdam.

Panels made up of the biggest self storage operators in Europe, a presentation from former boss of Sainsbury’s Justin King, and talks on the European economy also contributed to a valuable trip. Nick and Andy both learnt an extraordinary amount about the forefront of the self storage industry.

After three days of informative sessions and presentations about the future of the self storage industry and legal obligations, they left the event with an understanding of what’s to come in the industry and the latest in market trends.
